Our tools combine advanced AI models with intuitive workflows, so users generate high quality images, animations and design variations in seconds. More than a million people in 180 countries use it, and the team behind it is small, remote and growing.

The role

You work on the part of the product nobody sees and everybody depends on: the Convex data model and functions, billing and credits with Stripe, the generation pipelines that talk to several model providers, storage on R2, and the integrations with the tools architects already use. TypeScript end to end, with a product team that ships weekly.

What you will do

• Design and evolve the data model, the functions and the realtime queries the product runs on
• Own billing, credits and plans, and the invariants that keep them right under load
• Build and harden the generation pipelines across providers, with retries, refunds and monitoring
• Integrate storage, email, analytics and the design tools we connect to
• Keep the platform fast and measured as usage grows

What we look for

• 4+ years building backends for products with real users, in TypeScript or a language you can bring over quickly
• Care for data integrity, idempotency and the failure cases of distributed work
• Experience with a payment system and the edge cases of subscriptions
• Comfort reading a provider's API and making it reliable behind your own interface
• Clear writing

Bonus: Convex or another realtime backend, image or video pipelines, Stripe, observability tooling.

Full time, remote, in the engineering team and a few days together in person every year.
