In Iridescent
When to pick it
Iridescent gives a design a holographic, pearlescent finish, with oil-slick reflections and prismatic, high-key lighting. Surfaces shimmer between pink, cyan and violet as they turn, and the scene is bathed in bright, almost shadowless light. It feels futuristic, polished and a bit otherworldly, as if the building were made of mother of pearl.
When to use it
- product launches, tech brands and showrooms
- fashion, beauty and retail interiors that use reflective finishes
- pavilions, installations and temporary structures
- speculative facade studies with glass, metal or coated panels
- social posts and campaign covers where a distinctive color treatment helps
It suits brands that already work with chrome, glass and light, and it gives a familiar building a new identity for one image. Use it sparingly within a set, since one or two images carry the effect better than ten.
What it does to materials and light
Iridescent pushes every material toward reflection. Glass and metal shift color across their surfaces, white plaster picks up a pearly sheen, and even matte elements gain soft rainbow edges. Light is high key: bright, diffuse and even, with shadows lifted into pale tints. Strong curves and folds show the color shift best, since each angle catches a different hue.
Tips for better results
- Curved, folded or faceted forms give the most interesting color play.
- Clean, minimal scenes work better than busy ones.
- Name the reflective materials in the prompt, such as chrome, glass or coated aluminum.
- Watch for color shifts on surfaces that should stay neutral, like floors or ceilings.
- Use Conversational Edit on the result to tone down areas that get too strong.
Iridescent is available in 3D Model to Render, Text to Render and Render Variation. For a softer neon palette, see Dreamy Neon Pastel.

Text to RenderDescribe a building or interior in words, optionally with a reference image, and get a photorealistic render to explore early ideas.- Sketch to RenderTurn a hand sketch or reference image into a photorealistic render, and carry an early idea to something you can show a client.

- Elevation to RenderTurn a 2D elevation drawing into a photorealistic facade render, and try materials, context and light before you present.

- 3D Model to RenderTurn a view of your 3D model from SketchUp, Rhino, Revit or Blender into a photorealistic render, ready for client review.
