Understanding Generation Times and the Queue System

Understanding Generation Times and the Queue System

Last Updated: Dec 27, 2025

Generation Times, Queue System

Answer

Short answer:

Standard image generations typically take approximately 5-25 seconds to complete depending on the specific tool. However, total wait times depend on your subscription plan, as Pro and Team Pro users skip the processing queue for immediate results.

How the queue works

The queue system determines the order in which generation requests are processed by the servers. Your experience depends on your account status.

  • Priority Access (Pro and Team Pro): These plans are designed for professional use. Users on these tiers bypass the general queue entirely. When you click generate, the process begins immediately.

  • Standard Access (Creator and Student Plan): Users on the Creator and Student plan may enter a processing queue. During times of high traffic, you may experience a short wait before your generation begins.

Factors affecting generation speed

While the standard benchmark for a new image is around 5 seconds, several factors can influence the total time from click to result.

  • Resolution and Model: Default generations are approximately 1MP, which allows for the 5-second turnaround. Using specific models like "Nano Banana Pro" which generates at 2K by default, may slightly alter processing time.

  • Upscaling: Increasing the resolution of an image (2K, 4K, 6K, or 8K) requires significantly more computational power than the initial generation. This process involves adding detail and reducing noise, which takes longer than the initial draft generation.

  • Internet Connection: Since Rendair AI is a web-based platform that does not support offline usage, your upload and download speeds will affect how quickly the interface updates.

When to expect wait times

Understanding when delays might occur helps in planning your workflow.

  • High Traffic Hours: If you are on a Creator or Student plan, you are more likely to encounter queue times during peak working hours.

  • Batch Operations: If you are running multiple upscaling tasks or video generations, these are resource-intensive and will take longer to finalize than simple text-to-image prompts.

Limitations or notes

  • No Offline Mode: You must have an active internet connection to generate or view images.

  • Storage: There is no storage cap for active subscribers, so generating a high volume of images rapidly will not result in storage errors.

  • Credits: While Pro users skip the queue, all actions still consume credits. These credits do not expire as long as your subscription remains active.

*The queue is only valid for the Rendair AI native models. For the models used through 3rd-party partners, the queue process is not valid.
