What Happens to My Projects If I Cancel My Plan?

Answer

Short answer:

Your existing projects and generated images remain accessible in your account history, but any unused credits are forfeited once the subscription period ends. You can continue to view and download previous work, but you cannot generate new visuals or use premium features without an active plan.

Overview

Canceling a subscription in Rendair AI stops the automatic renewal of your plan. It does not immediately delete your account or your data.

Many professionals worry that a lapse in subscription means losing access to their project history. Rendair AI distinguishes between generating (which requires an active plan and credits) and storing (which is maintained for your account).

When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of your current billing cycle. Once that cycle closes, your account reverts to a free or inactive state.

What happens to your data

It is important to understand exactly what is retained and what is removed upon cancellation.

What you keep

  • Project History: All images, videos, and edits generated during your subscription remain in your gallery.

  • Commercial Rights: Any image generated while your subscription was active retains its commercial license.

  • Account Access: You can still log in to view and download your files.

What you lose

  • Unused Credits: Credits do not roll over to a free tier. If you have a credit balance when the billing cycle ends, those credits are lost.

  • Queue Priority: You lose the "skip the queue" benefit associated with Pro and Team Pro plans.

  • Privacy Status: Future generations (if you use free trial credits later) may not have the private status guaranteed by Pro plans.

Alternatives to cancellation

If you need to stop billing temporarily but want to protect your credits or return to work soon, cancellation is not your only option.

Pausing your plan

Rendair AI allows you to pause your subscription for up to 3 months.

  • This stops billing for the selected duration.

  • It keeps your account status ready for when you return.

  • It is often safer for workflow continuity than a full cancellation.

Limitations and notes

  • Credit Expiration: Credits are strictly tied to an active subscription. Use your remaining credits before your billing cycle ends.

  • Account Deletion: Canceling a plan is different from deleting an account. You can only delete your account (removing all data permanently) via account settings if there is no active subscription.

  • Storage: While there is no storage cap for active subscribers, keeping an account open without a subscription allows you to access what you have already built.
