Style preset

A named look applied to a render, such as photoreal, watercolour or architectural drawing. In Rendair a style is chosen per run and leaves the design itself unchanged.

A style preset packages a visual treatment under a name, so you do not have to describe it in a prompt every time. Instead of writing a long description of brush texture, line weight or color grading, you pick "watercolor" or "architectural drawing" and the look is applied consistently. Presets are useful for keeping a set of images coherent and for matching the level of finish to the stage of the project: drawn looks for early ideas, photographic looks for final presentations.

In practice

  • Match the style to the stage. A sketchy or painted look signals that a design is still open; a photoreal one suggests it is decided.
  • Keep one style across a set of images for a single presentation, so differences come from the design.
  • Use the prompt for content (materials, season, people) and the style for treatment. Mixing the two in the prompt often gives inconsistent results.
  • Try a few styles on the same input before committing; the same building can read very differently.

In Rendair

A style is chosen for each run and changes how the image looks, not what is designed. Options range from Realistic for a photographic result to Watercolor, Architectural Drawing and Marker Drawing for hand-made looks, so one model view or sketch can produce a client image and a presentation drawing.
