Choose the right AI model for your render
Each AI model has its own strengths. Learn how to pick one, compare models side by side and use Explore to see what others use.
Melisa RüzgarTutorial VideosChoosing the right AI model can have a big impact on your result. Every model can produce great renders, but each one has its own strengths and visual character. Think of model selection as choosing the right tool for the job rather than finding a single best model.
How to choose a model
- Decide what kind of image you want. Are you after a quick conceptual study, a photorealistic visualization or something more artistic and expressive?
- Read the model descriptions. When you select a model, you will see a short description of what it is best suited for. This is a good place to start if you are unsure.
- Consider your input. Some models perform better with sketches, while others do better with photographs, floor plans or 3D models.
- Compare models side by side. Run the same prompt through a few different models and compare the results. It is a quick way to discover different interpretations of the same design.
- Continue in the same session. Once you find a model whose style fits your project, keep refining the image with Rendair's editing apps instead of starting over.
Tips
- The same prompt can look very different across models. If a result is not what you expected, try switching models before rewriting your prompt.
- Some apps only support specific models, so you may not see a model selector in every app.
- A fast model is useful for early exploration, and a more detailed one for presentation images.
- Visit Explore to see what other users have created. Each image shows which AI model produced it, which is a good way to discover models that suit your work.
- Experimenting is part of the process. A version you were not expecting can end up being your favorite.
What to do next
Pair this with the prompting guide, then test a few models on the same prompt in Image to Render or Sketch to Render.
