A0 is 84.1 by 118.9 cm, A1 59.4 by 84.1, A2 42 by 59.4, A3 29.7 by 42. Rendair's upscaler takes a 1K render to 4K for large prints.

Pixels against paper

A render that looks sharp on a screen can print soft. Resolution in dots per inch is the pixels of the image divided by the inches it is printed across, and 300 is the usual target for anything read up close.

Boards and posters are seen from further away, and 150 dpi is fine for them. Below about 100 the pixels start to show.

When the pixels fall short, upscale before printing. Rendair's upscaler takes a render to 4K and adds detail where the original had none, which is the difference between an A2 board and an A0 one.
