Add people to architectural renders

Use Populate Render to add people for scale, activity and everyday life, guided by a short prompt or none at all.

A render can have all the right architectural details and still feel empty. Adding people gives a space scale, activity and a sense of everyday life. Populate Render is built for exactly that.

Steps

  1. Open Populate Render and bring in your image. It can be an interior, an exterior, a public space or any scene that needs some life.
  2. Describe the people you want. Keep it broad, like a few people casually walking through the space, or be specific about what they are doing, what they are wearing or where they should be.
  3. Or leave the prompt blank. If you are not sure what to ask for, leave the prompt empty and see what Rendair creates on its own.
  4. Generate and review the result.
  5. Refine. If there are too many people, the scene feels too busy or the positions are off, adjust the prompt and try again until the activity feels natural.
  6. Continue your workflow. Once you are happy, take the image into other Rendair apps if you want to keep developing it.

Tips

  • Think about the role people play in the image. Sometimes they are mainly there for scale; other times they show how the space is used.
  • More context in the prompt helps the scene feel intentional rather than random.
  • You do not need a crowd. A few well-placed people can give a strong sense of scale and atmosphere.
  • Populate Render works best near the end of a project, once the architecture is settled.

What to do next

If you want to change who appears in the scene, use Fix People to adjust age range, gender and ethnicity. Then try Change Time of Day for a different mood.
