Turn a floor plan into a render

Upload a floor plan, pick a style, describe the design and generate a rendered concept that respects your layout.

A floor plan is often all you need to start exploring materials, atmosphere and the overall feel of a design. Floor Plan to Render turns your plan into a rendered architectural concept while respecting its layout and spatial organization.

Steps

  1. Open Floor Plan to Render and upload your plan. You can use a quick hand sketch, a CAD export or a detailed architectural drawing, in a range of file formats.
  2. Pick a page from a PDF if needed. If you upload a multi-page PDF, choose the page you want to render directly in the app.
  3. Choose a style. The Styles menu gives you a quick starting point and steers the output toward a particular architectural look.
  4. Write your prompt. Think of it as your brief. Include the architectural style, materials, landscaping, surroundings, lighting and atmosphere you want. You can combine a style with your own detailed prompt for more control.
  5. Click Generate. Rendair turns your plan into a rendered concept while respecting its overall layout and spatial organization.
  6. Refine instead of starting over. If the first result is not what you imagined, adjust the prompt. Ask for warmer materials, larger windows, a different style or denser landscaping, then generate again.
  7. Develop the image with other apps. Use Change Material to compare finishes, Populate Render to add scale and activity, and Edit Canvas to sketch on the image or mask specific areas for targeted changes. Every edit stays in the same session.
  8. Upscale the final image for presentations, competitions, planning applications or client meetings.

Tips

  • If you are not sure where to start, describe the core design elements first and add detail as you iterate.
  • Small prompt adjustments can produce very different results, so iterate in small steps.
  • Styles are a fast way to compare different architectural directions from the same plan.
